What is WorkAbility III?  

WorkAbility III is a partnership program between the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) and Diablo Valley College to provide job placement services to students with disabilities who are "job ready" and who want to go to work.  The main purpose of the WorkAbility III program is to provide individualized and specialized job placement for students with disabilities.  

Overview
DVC's WorkAbility III program gives students the opportunity to participate in vocational assessment, job seeking workshops, job placement, and job retention and follow up.  

The main requirement for students with disabilities is that they must be a client of the Department of Rehabilitation. Clients are  eligible for WorkAbility III job placement services when they have:  

  • Completed a certificate program, Associate of Arts (AA degree) or Associate of Science Degree (AS degree)
  • Need a job or internship to fulfill a DVC degree requirment
  • Not completed a certificate or degree program, but want to go to work  
  • Eligibility to become a DVC student and a "job ready" client of the Department of Rehabilitation
