Youth Programs

DVC Community Education has several youth programs for active families to choose from.  We offer summer camps and Saturday workshops in the fall and spring.  Our signature program is College for Kids, but we also offer College Prep Academy and Experimental College.

College for Kids

College for Kids is our summer youth program for kids entering grades 4th - 9th.  We offer camps in science, writing, computer technology, engineering, math, performing arts and more! Our camps are conveniently located on our Pleasant Hill and San Ramon campuses.

College Prep Academy

Welcome to College Prep Academy, a series of workshops with vital information you need to navigate your child (or yourself!) towards a college education. Our academy is open to all high school students and their parents. Our workshops have different topics depending on your child's needs and academic level. This program will guide students through the step-by-step college awareness and planning process. Workshops are divided by your child's high school level. College Prep Academy schedule varies term by term. For the latest schedule, please visit our online catalog.

Experimental College

Experimental College is our newest youth program that caters to middle and high school students in S.T.E.A.M subjects.  More and more parents are encouraging their children to participate in various extra curricular activities for them to explore or experiment various topics that may lead to an area of study at college and eventually to a satisfying career.  Classes are conveniently scheduled on one or two Saturdays during the regular school year.  We hope to have summer offerings in 2019.
